Court Grants EzeeTee Bail Of N20m

The former manager of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, Ezekiel Onyedikachi (EzeeTee), who was charged before a Federal High Court in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has been granted bail of N20 million.

The charges against EzeeTee were reduced by the EFCC, and a fresh suit of $255,000 forex transaction fraud was added against the music producer.

Presiding over the sitting, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke on Friday said a surety residing in Lagos with a property worth the bail amount should be provided as a condition before the bail would be granted.

The judge gave Ojukwu Chikaosolu, the lawyer of EzeeTee, 72 hours to meet the bail condition.
