‎Intending couple whose wedding was set for April 5, 2025, have called off the ceremony over a dispute about which church to attend after marriage.

‎Yakubu Azi Abok and Patience John Addra from Plateau State were joyfully preparing for their big day, but trouble started brewing when the bride, a devoted Catholic, said she would stick to her church after the marriage.

Sources revealed that the bride, in anger, said if the mother was going to decide for the groom, then the wedding should be called off. The surprised groom went home, revealed things to his mother, and she stamped and sealed the cancellation.

‎Days before the big day, Patience begged and repented, but the mother-in-law refused. As guests and crowds flooded the event venue, hopes were dashed as they all went home devastated.
