Chief whip of the Nigeria Senate, Ali Ndume walked out of the red chamber in anger on Tuesday after Senate President, Godswill Akpabio ruled him out.

Ndume anger was a result of him citing order 54 of the standing rules to draw the attention and manner in which Akpabio presides over affairs of the senate.

According to the APC senator representing Borno South, he said most of the proceedings under Akpabio are not conforming to the standing rules of the House.

His statement in parts “There are some things we do in this chamber that are against our rules

“Nobody is too big to learn.”

He was yet to finish his thought when the Senate President ruled him out of order, referring to the same section of the rule book.

With anger, Ndume left the chamber, which later led to a closed-door session.

Earlier last week, Ndume and other senators complained that Akpabio does not allow them to make meaningful contributions to important bills.
