The husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu has been ordered by an FCT High Court to enter his defence in the alleged murder charges brought against him, Peter Nwachukwu over the death of his wife.

On April 8, 2022, reports say the singer died of throat cancer but her friends and family insisted otherwise that her death was linked to constant assault from her husband.

Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme gave the order after dismissing Mr Peter’s no-case submission.

“The prosecution has established a prima facie case against the defendant,” she said.

However going by the order of the judge, Mr Peter’s defence counsel, Isah Abubakar Aliyu, said he would file for a defence by the next adjourned date.

The case was adjourned to November 22 for defence.
