Chidom Oderah quits D’Tigress over ‘lack of professionalism’

AfroBasketball champion Oderah Chidom has announced her resignation from the Nigerian women basketball team.
The basketball star announced this via her Instagram handle on Monday citing unprofessionalism from the federation as a reason for her decision.
“It hurts me to announce that I will no longer represent the Nigerian National Women’s team. The lack of professionalism from the federation makes it difficult for me to return.
“I wish for Nigeria Basketball to be dominant at the Africa & World level, but cannot continue playing under these current conditions.
“My time with the National Team has brought so much joy to my life. I’ve created a life-long bond with my teammates and continued to make my family proud.
“I wish nothing but the best to the Nigerian women who are participating in the Afrobasket this summer and will be tuning in!”
