CBN Redesigns 200, 500, 1,000 Naira Notes

The Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, on Wednesday announced that 200, 500, & 1000 Naira notes will be redesigned in December 2022.

CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, who disclosed this during a special press briefing in Abuja, equally advised Nigerians to return the existing old notes to their banks before the expiration period.

Emefiele said the redesign will take effect from Thursday, December 15, 2022.
