The Supreme Court located at the Three Arms Zone of Abuja, home to the Presidential Villa and the National Assembly has been gutted by an early morning fire.

Reports gathered that the fire started at around 6:00 a.m. from the Justice chamber and has also affected some other offices.

Workers and cleaners detected the fire early this morning when they resumed office and raised the alarm.

The concerned workers were said to have used the fire extinguishers in the building to combat the fire as the Fire Service van on the premises was not functional.

The workers were said to have contacted the National Judicial Council and the Fire Service office in Wuse 2 for help.

However, at the time of reporting, the Spokesperson of the Federal Fire Service, Paul Abraham told newsmen he would call back.
