Atiku Abubakar Officially Resigns From PDP

Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, Atiku Abubakar, has officially resigned from the party.

Atiku, who is a founding member of the PDP, made his intentions known in a letter addressed to the PDP ward chairman in Jada, Jada LGA of Adamawa State.

In the lengthy letter, Atiku, who has already joined a coalition with other top politicians in the country, described his departure as heartbreaking.

This resignation paves the way for Atiku to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) with intentions to unseat the current administration in the 2027 elections.
