Peter Obi Resigned From ADC

It has been confirmed that Peter Obi has officially resigned from the Africa Democratic Party over division and not personal reasons.

This was contained in a lengthy statement on Sunday, where Obi cited growing internal battles, court cases, and party division as reasons for resigning.

Posted on his X handle on Sunday, Obi reflected on what he described as the “toxic” nature of Nigeria’s political space and the pressures faced by public figures.

He stated further that there were no grievances with key leaders of the party, including its National Chairman, David Mark, or former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, whom he said he continued to respect.
