Officer Nuhu, Others: File Forwarded to AGF for Prosecution

Following the dismissal of Officer Nuhu Usman and three others involved in the extrajudicial killing of Oghenemene Ogidi at Effurun, the case file has been forwarded to the Attorney General of the Federation for prosecution.

This was disclosed by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Placid, on Sunday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. After an investigation was launched, Nuhu and the other officers’ actions amounted to abuse of office and a breach of public peace.

The Force PRO disclosed that the victim had received a parcel from Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, which he attempted to waybill to Sapele. He confirmed that efforts were ongoing to apprehend other suspects, including the driver who delivered the parcel and two vigilante members linked to the incident.
