Embattled former Managing Director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed, has been petitioned to the EFCC by Aliko Dangote to formally answer to corruption charges.

The petition was filed at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission headquarters in Abuja a few days after Dangote had withdrawn his petition, but the ICPC insisted on bringing light to the allegations.

In a statement by the Dangote Group media team on Friday, the petition, which was signed by his Lead Counsel Dr. O.J. Onoja, urged the EFCC to investigate allegations of abuse of office and corrupt enrichment against Ahmed, and to prosecute him if found culpable, as every piece of evidence will be provided.
