You Dare Not Impeach Me, Tinubu Tells Court

A suit filed by Stanley Okonmah and brought to the Federal High Court in Abuja by legal practitioner Mr. Olukoya Ogungbeje seeks the attention of the National Assembly to impeach President Bola Tinubu over the infringement of human rights in the 2024 #EndBadGovernance protest. This has been challenged before the court.
The team of lawyers led by Sanusi Musa, SAN, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and President Tinubu held that the case was standing on a wrong ground, as the plaintiff was not able to disclose any of his rights that were breached.
President Tinubu and the AGF argued that the action was filed on behalf of faceless people whose rights were not duly stated as allegedly violated.
They added that during the protest, security agents were sent by President Tinubu to ensure a peaceful protest that would not be hijacked by hoodlums.
The case presided over by Justice James Omotosho was adjourned to March 4 to enable the counsel representing the plaintiff, Mr. Stanley Okonmah, to respond to the objection raised by President Tinubu and the AGF.
