President Buhari approves special salary scale for teachers

President Buhari has approved a special salary scale for teachers in Nigeria. This was done in commemoration of the world Teachers day on October 5, 2020.

The President who was represented by the  Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu at the celebration of the World Teachers Day in Abuja stated that the implementation of the new salary scheme is to encourage teachers in delivering better service.

The President also increased the years of service from 35 to 40.
