The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities has directed its members to proceed on a 14-day warning strike from today, Monday 5th October 2020.

SSANNU in a statement signed by its President Samson Ugwoke alleged the strike was over “inconsistencies in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPS); non-payment of the arrears of the national minimum wage; and the failure of the government to pay their earned allowances.”

He stated that in the case where the grievances are not addressed, a “total and indefinite industrial action” would be the outcome.
