Workers Celebrate As Gov Obaseki Increases Minimum Wage

The Edo State Government under the administration of Governor Godswill Obaseki has made an increase in the salary of workers in the state.

This is coming days after the Lagos State government announced increasing the minimum wage of workers to 70,000 naira.

During the inaugural opening of the Secretariat Complex for Labour Unions in Edo, Benin City, Governor Obaseki said workers will no longer receive N40,000 as their minimum wage in the state but now N70,000.

The Labour House was named after former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, why excited state workers await their increment to kick off on May 1, 2024.
