Wike Bans Party Members From Campaigning For Atiku In Rivers

The crisis between the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has taken another turn as the state government has banned all party members of Rivers state not to campaign for Atiku in the state.

This information was made known by Lee  Ledgodo Maeba during an interview with Symfoni Tv.

Meaba said the former governor of the state, Celestine Omehia went with other Chieftain of PDP like Austin Opara to visit Atiku last Monday to apologize to him at his Abuja residence after Wike accused him of being a lair.

He said on their return, Wike called all of them to reprimand them for paying a visit to the former vice president without his consent.

Meaba further stated that Wike also threatened anyone who campaigned for Atiku in Rivers without his approval or permission will be dealt with.

“I want PDP to win the election and my duty is to support the presidential candidate of the party without negotiating with anybody. But Wike told us, let me see how you will campaign for Atiku in this state. You cannot campaign for this state Atiku without my permission. No one in this state will work for Atiku.”
