The West African Examinations Council has approved the barring of students involved in examination malpractice from taking the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

This was contained in a press release issued after the 70th Meeting of the Examination Committee of WAEC, which is the highest decision making organ of the council on examination-related matters.

It said the affected candidates would be banned for “a certain number of years” including the blacklisting for supervisors.
