Updated: Heavy Security Stops Senator Natasha from Entering National Assembly

Suspended Senator of Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, is currently at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja to resume her duties as a Senator, with tight security in place.

Senator Natasha had told journalists and written to the Senate leadership, informing them of her resumption of duty on July 22, following the order given by the court that she be recalled to plenary.

However, armed security personnel were seen in large numbers manning various gates of the complex, with thorough screening and surveillance.

On her attempt to gain access to the National Assembly following the judgment of Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Senator Natasha was prevented.
