Tobi Amusan Shines At 100m Women’s Hurdles At Stockholm

26-year-old Commonwealth Games champion, Tobi Amusan won her first Diamond League on Sunday night at the women’s 100m hurdles.

Amusan won the hurdles within 12.52 seconds which took place at the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm.

The Nigerian athlete defeated Sarah Avalanche of Ireland, who finished second place within 12.73  seconds, while Pia Skrzyszowska of Poland won the third spot in 12.78 seconds.

On Friday, Amusan came second behind Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn at the Lausanne Diamond League.

The reigning world champion and record holder finished the 100m hurdles with a season-best matching time of 12.47 seconds.

The Common Wealth Games Champion is set to defend her title at the World Athletics Championship later this year in Budapest.
