Tipper driver who killed PTI final year student arrested-PTI

Authorities of the Petroleum Training Institute have said that the tipper driver who allegedly hit and killed a student at the weekend has been arrested and is currently behind bars.

A tipper truck had on Friday evening crushed a final year female student of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Effurun, Uvwie council area of Delta state to death.

It was gathered the driver was driving against traffic without headlights when the incident occurred which led to the death of a final year student simply known as Uwa.

Mr. Brown Ukah Afimoni, the school Public Relations Officer (PRO) in an interview with Crown FM on Monday, said the school which is currently in mourning has taken steps to ensure proper investigation.

He also said efforts have been made to collaborate with the local government to set up speed breaks to prevent future occurrence.
