Tinubu Okays Controversial Electoral Bill

The controversial Electoral Act 2022 (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill has been signed into law by President Bola Tinubu.

Before the Bill was signed, serious arguments ensued on Tuesday between lawmakers concerning the bill until electronic transmission of election results, with manual collation as backup, was finally passed.
