The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a security warning over an underground plot by terrorists to attack the Abuja-Kaduna train service again.
The information contained in a secret leaked memo was signed by DSS Director of FCT Command, R.N. Adepemu, entitled, “Security Alert: Impending Threat By A Coalition Of Banditry Syndicate To Attack Abuja-Kaduna Train Service Along AKTS Corridor.”
Train passengers along the Abuja–Kaduna route are therefore cautioned by the DSS to be vigilant as the attack could be anytime from now.
DSS warned of an “impending threat to seamless train transportation along the Abuja– Kaduna Train Service”
The secret letter also said the plot is targeted at passengers to kidnap those on board for a ransom.
Recall that on March 27, 2022, bandits attacked Abuja–Kaduna in Katari village, Kaduna, killing many and kidnapped others which then led to the brief closure of operation by the Nigeria Railway Corporation.
