Tax Reform: Ad Hoc Committee to Investigate Gazetted Tax — Rep
Post created on 2:08 pm

There has been a call by Nigerians to check the discrepancies in the tax reform laws passed by the National Assembly, as the bill was allegedly altered.
The allegations stand strong, as copies of what was passed and assented to by President Bola Tinubu were officially altered.
On Wednesday, Abdulsammad Duski, a lawmaker from Sokoto, raised an alarm that the gazetted versions of the four tax bills signed in June 2025 were different from what the lawmakers approved.
In light of this concern, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has set up a seven-man ad hoc committee to investigate the allegations of discrepancies between the tax bills passed by the National Assembly and the versions subsequently assented to and gazetted.
