Supreme Court Upholds Sheriff Oborevwori’s victory as governor of Delta State

The Supreme court has upheld the victory of governor Sherriff Oborevwori as the governor of delta state dismissing the appeal filed by three opposition parties.
The Apex court dismissed the appeal of the candidate of the All progressive party, APC, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege that the appellant was unable to prove his case of noncompliance with electoral laws and over-voting.
The Supreme court also dismissed the other appeals for lack of merit affirming the election of Governor Sheriff.
Celebrating his victory, the governor on his X handle commended the judiciary, his legal team and all Deltans stating that it was time for him to “serve fully”.
Governor Sheriff called on deltans to join hands with him in moving the state forward.
To the glory of God,the Supreme Court today affirmed me as the duly elected Governor of Delta State. I commend the judiciary, my legal team, supporters and all Deltans. Truly, The judiciary is the last hope of ordinary Nigerians.
