Stop Reporting Terrorism – FG Pleads With Media
Post created on 11:27 am

When reports of terrorist and criminal activities flood the newspaper front pages, it fulfills what they really crave. This was the Minister of Information and Orientation, Mohammed Idris, appealing to pressmen on Thursday in Abuja.
Idris urged journalists at the two-day National Security Summit organized by the Nigerian Union of Journalists to see the brighter side of what President Bola Tinubu is doing economically, glorifying crime.
He pointed out that the efforts of security agencies should be praised, as there must be a Nigeria first before any news or media organizations can report.
Furthermore, he spoke about the kinetic and non-kinetic tools the administration is using to fight insecurity and the achievements recorded in the National Education Loan Fund, where over 1.3 million students have benefited.
