Herders Allegedly Hack Couple to Death

Ewu Kingdom and the youths are demanding justice and condemning the attack on a couple hacked to death by Fulani herdsmen in the Ughelli North region.

The victims were a couple from Gaberegolor who had an altercation with the herdsmen that stormed their building site with their cows and destroyed newly molded blocks. A few days later, the couple went missing.

A search was conducted by the community, and the bodies of the husband and wife were found in separate locations with machete cuts all over their bodies.

The community president, Comrade Erhiegueke Emmanuel, and acting secretary, Engr. Obukadeta E. Joseph, described the incident as a heinous and barbaric act that must never go unpunished, calling on the state government for an investigation.
