Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has stated that skill acquisition is the only way to solve the country’s unemployment problem. The governor stated this while receiving the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), led by Hajia Aisha Hafiz-Inuwa, the wife of the Delta State Police Commissioner.

Commending the members of the association for their contribution to the development of the society through their philanthropic gestures, He disclosed that skill acquisition is the way out of the unemployment and acute poverty that is ravaging the country.

“We have continued to make skill acquisition a state policy. We have also revitalized technical education in the state to give our youth more veritable platforms to acquire skills because we realize that it is the only way to solve our unemployment problem,” Governor Okowa said.
