Senator Ireti Kingibe Reacts to Natasha’s Seating Position

Post created on 5:29 pm

‎The Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Ireti Kingibe, has criticized Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over the trouble that erupted at the National Assembly due to seating arrangements.

‎Shock waves were sent down the spines of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora when Senator Natasha stood up, pointing fingers and raising her voice at the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, as she was refused the opportunity to speak from a seat not assigned to her.

‎Moving further, Natasha, appearing on Arise TV’s morning program on Friday, claimed that the seating arrangement was part of a ploy to frustrate legislative duties and accused Senator Akpabio of sexual harassment, stating that on two occasions he had demanded an intimate relationship from her.

‎Following Natasha’s appearance, Senator Kingibe blamed the Kogi Senator for not following the Senate rules, as other men were also asked to change their seating positions.

‎She said that, inasmuch as the Senate has not been fair to women, the other three female senators have been silent about the seating arrangement row because they don’t want to say anything negative about Natasha.
