The Functioning Permanent Secretary, Basic and Secondary Education, Daniel Akinri, has re-emphasised the need for principals, teachers and Head of schools to take resumption of students seriously from the first day as teaching should start immediately.
Akinri, who made the emphasis while speaking with Crown FM on the resumption of schools, encouraged that school managements must see that learning environment and students are in proper conditions to be able to achieve a successful term.
He called on Instructors, parents and wards to avoid violence as the Ministry advocates for a safe school environment whereby he solicited for all hands to be on deck in the upbringing of the children.
Meanwhile, Chairman National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS, Oshimili South chapter, Samson Ekene, appealed to parents to avoid being in a fight with teachers following the resumption of schools.
