Delta State Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Goodluck Ofobruku, has reiterated the need for workers in the state to report their concerns where necessary to appropriate authorities for their issues to be attended to accordingly.
Ofobruku who said this while speaking with Crown FM on the allegations that Delta State government promised to sell rice to civil servants at forty thousand naira per bag but now sharing a bag to 4 workers, insisted that he is not aware of such arrangement/agreement between state government and civil servants in the state.
He stressed that if workers had reported to the body before embarking on such agreement, it would have been easier to make a case when government is not meeting up to their bargains.
The Chairman however, appealed to those concerned to deal with the matter discreetly and avoid involving the congress who had no idea about such matters.
On the issue of low cost Housing for workers, Ofobruku noted that state government had promised to look into their request made on May 1st as they are hopeful that issues raised would be attended to in no time.
