President Tinubu Sacks NNPCL GCEO, Mele Kyari

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, has been replaced by Bayo Ojulari on Wednesday.

Kyari was removed by President Bola Tinubu alongside other board members elected in 2023 in order to restructure the oil company’s management system.

According to Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesman, Pius Akinyelure was also displaced from his position and replaced with Ahmadu Musa Kida.

The six board members, non-executive directors, new positions take effect from today, April 2, 2025.
