Police, NDLEA, Others Arrested for Robbery In Imo State

Six security operatives consisting of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Civil Defence Corps, and an Inspector of Police have been arrested for intimidation, threat, extortion, and robbing of members of the public in Imo State.

The spokesperson of Imo State Police Command, Henry Okoye made this known to the public on Wednesday in a statement.

The security officers are NA Kelechi Chijoke, ‘m’ 30 years  (NDLEA), NA David Nwaji ‘m’  (NDLEA), CA III Nwaka Ikechukwu (NDLEA), DSC Obijiaku Israel 28 years Civil Defence, ASC II Omodi Timothy ‘m’ 33 years Civil Defense and Inspector Odidika Augustine ‘m’ 37 years an Inspector of Police

Revealing further, the team of officers who are under investigation hide under the umbrella of Operation Search Flush in the State to carry out their crime.

Accusations against the team are forcing the public to make transfers to the tune of thousands of Naira, seizing and checking their phones despite several directives by the Nigeria Police Force on the issue, bringing untold hardships to them and tarnishing the reputation of the NPF.
