Police Kill Suspected Kidnapper in Ohoror

An unidentified suspected kidnapper who was rushed to the hospital after a gun battle with police has been confirmed dead.

According to the Delta State Police Command spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, following intelligence information, operatives of the CP Special Assignment Team stormed the Ohoror community along the Ughelli-Patani Road, where some suspected kidnappers were sighted.

Immediately the suspects saw the police approaching, they opened fire, and a gun battle ensued, which hit one of the suspects.

There is a manhunt for the other fleeing suspect, but a K-2 rifle, two locally made guns, live ammunition, and cartridges concealed in a bag were recovered from the suspects.
