Police Arrest Mad Man Running Cannabis Farm in Awka

In a bid to cut down on criminal activities in Anambra State through strategic methods, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has announced that a pretentious mentally unstable man has been apprehended by the command for running a marijuana farm.

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old man, Patrick Ojele, who pretends to be mad and was secretly running the marijuana farm at a hidden location in Awka, the state capital.

Reports indicate that the suspect had been running the farm for over two years until he was arrested along the Awka–Enugu Expressway near the Ngozika Estate.

A statement released on Thursday by the State Police Command spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the suspect was caught on Wednesday during a routine patrol by operatives and later led the team to the hidden farm where large quantities of weeds were recovered.
