Police Arrest Kidnap Syndicates in Delta

‎Kidnappers’ den in Delta State, located in the Ogwashi-Ukwu forests in Oshimili North Local Government Area, has been busted by operatives of the special anti-kidnapping and cybercrime squad, with some of the suspects arrested.

‎Information revealed that five of the suspects were arrested while N5 million was recovered from Sanusi Abdulahi as part of the ransom payment collected from victims.

‎In a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe on Tuesday, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were responsible for a series of kidnappings in Ibusa, Ogwashi-Ukwu, Obulu-Okiti, Isele-Ukwu, Isele-Asagba, and the most recent case of a young lady at Ogwashi-Ukwu on the 9th of July, 2025.

‎There has been a manhunt to arrest the others after operatives were led to their hideout at Second Deputy, Oko in Asaba while investigations are ongoing.
