Pastor Paul Adefarasin Surrenders to Police Over Viral Video

‎The senior pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, has surrendered himself to the Nigeria Police over a video that went viral in which he was pointing a gun-like object at a man.

‎The clergyman is under interrogation after the incident on June 6, 2025, when the pastor rolled down his vehicle’s tinted glass and could be seen holding what looked like a pistol with his right hand and muttering some inaudible words that caused the car spotter to apologize profusely for filming his car.

‎After the viral video, the pastor denied allegations suggesting he brandished a firearm.

‎In a statement written on Tuesday on X, Lagos State Command spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said, “No one is above the law!”

‎”Pastor Paul Adefarasin has turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja and is currently being interrogated by detectives who have commenced an investigation into the case since a video surfaced online showing the pastor holding a gun-like object against another road user while driving an unregistered vehicle.
‎
‎“The outcome of the investigation will be made public,” he wrote.
