Omo-Agege Moves Motion For State Security Council  And Retirement Age For Judicial Officers Bill

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, on behalf of the 29 members of the committee has moved a motion for the passage of the Constitution’s fifth alteration Bill number 20 and 47 for the establishment of the State Security Council 2023 and the Uniform Retirement Age for Judicial Officers 2023 through the Clark of the House to President Muhammadu Buhari for Assent.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege says with the requirements met according to section 9 sub-section 2 of the 1999 Constitution for passage as State Houses of Assemblies of Oyo and Zamfara has accordingly forwarded their resolutions, the House will direct the Clark to Forward to Mr President for Assent.

Also speaking, the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan has joined the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege for the motion moved for the passage of the bills to Mr. President for assent, urging the committee members that the remaining 19 bill will be exhibited and worked on to see the ones that will also be assented to by President Muhammadu Buhari.
