Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy Senate President
Contrary to what people believed would take place in the Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) following the defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ovie Omo-Agege, whose intentions for the 2027 governorship race are strong, opened up on Sunday.
The former Deputy Senate President, speaking on the sudden defection of the state governor, assured everyone that the APC leadership at the national level is making plans to safeguard the interests of the APC in Delta.
Omo-Agege urged all stakeholders to embrace peace in order to move Delta and Nigeria toward greater progress.
Therefore, he called on all APC ward and local government executives, in the spirit of brotherhood, to mobilize massively for a reception rally scheduled for today, Monday, in Asaba to welcome Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and other defectors.
