With the hardship felt by all due to the current socio-economic state of the country, the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has again issued a seven-day Nationwide Strike to the federal government.

NLC in its release gave the Federal Government Seven days ultimatum to reverse all harsh policies including the recent hike in pump prices or dance to the tune of an indefinite nationwide strike from August 2.

This is the second time the NLC is giving a Nationwide strike notice since the Inauguration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

A directive was also given by the NLC to all bodies affiliated with them and state councils to start mobilizing their workers in preparation for the nationwide strike and protest to press home their demand.

The decision to embark on the nationwide strike was concluded at the NLC Central Working Committee, meeting on Tuesday, July 25, at Abuja Labour House.
