It was a night of celebration as the Super Falcons of Nigeria broke the 16-year delay at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in South Africa to qualify for the 2024 Olympics game in Paris.

In the 1-0 defeat to South Africa Bayana Bayana, Rasheedat Ajibade at 43 minutes penalty booked a place for the Falcons on Tuesday night, making a great difference.

In the early stages, Christy Ucheibe and Osinachi Ohale held on to the ball making a shift for the Falcons at the center back, before the battle got tough for both teams.

This win of Nigeria against South Africa will put her on the map to represent Africa at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

This marks the 4th time Nigeria would qualify for the Olympics since the last in 2008.
