My Interview With Al Jazeera Doctored – Daniel Bwala

Following the backlash from the interview granted by Daniel Bwala, Presidential Spokesperson on Policy Communication for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Al Jazeera, he has accused the organization of doctoring the interview.

Bwala said Al Jazeera selectively edited the interview that was conducted on February 11. He described it as a cut-and-join version posted by the station online instead of the 1 hour and 20 minutes clip that was supposed to first air on television. However, Al Jazeera provided excuses related to the Iran-US conflict.

He insisted that the full video be posted for proper context, as he answered every question thrown at him, but the misleading narrative had fueled social media buzz.

“There is a fact that was incorrectly portrayed and has formed the basis of many opinions online, which was unfortunately pushed by Al Jazeera. I asked them to put the record straight.”
