Minister Hails President for Lifting Emergency Rule in Rivers

Following the lifting of the emergency rule in Rivers State and the reinstatement of Governor Simi Fubura, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for restoring democratic governance.

In a statement made public on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Nyesom Wike said the confidence of Rivers State has been restored through the proactive action of President Tinubu.

He commended the people of the state for their belief in the President and continuous support for him in his tireless efforts to return the country to the path of progress and development.

Wike, therefore, called on all stakeholders in the state to work together and caution troublemakers to stay away from the state, as only peace and progress will now be recorded in Rivers State.
