Many Feared Dead As BRT Bus Filled With Passengers Collides With Train In Lagos

Many people have been feared dead in the early morning accident involving a BRT Bus and a Train around Ikeja axis, Lagos State.

The incident happened around 7 am on Thursday as the fully loaded bus with government staff headed to work.

In an emergency alert shared by a Twitter user, @Truthfully83 – the BRT Bus filled with passengers was said to have collided with the train, leaving scores injured while many were feared dead.

The Twitter user called on Nigerians to reshare the post, noting that the victims of the accident required urgent medical attention.

“There is an accident between a BRT bus, carrying passengers, and a train around Ikeja, Lagos state. The casualty figure can not be ascertained at the moment, but the victims need urgent medical assistance.”

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Taofiq Adebayo, said the rescue operation was ongoing.
