Man Kills Pregnant Fiancée and Daughter During Argument in Edo

‎A heated argument between two lovers, Wealth Nnamdi and Osasu Isaac, who have been in a relationship for over three years, has led to the death of a mother and child in Edo State on March 16, 2025.

‎According to neighbors’ accounts at Idiangbona Street in the Ovbiogoe community, Wealth had moved in with Osasu and her three-year-old daughter named Miracle.
‎
‎However, the couple, who are preparing for their traditional marriage on March 29, always had frequent quarrels and neighbors thought their usual fight have started.
‎
‎A source in the neighborhood said they never suspected the quarrel would lead to the death of the pregnant Osasu on Sunday, as the two had always been like that. But two days later, a foul smell was emanating from the couple’s room.

‎Confirming the incident on Tuesday, the Police Public Relations Officer for Edo State, Moses Yamu, said that when officers from the Ekiadolor Division forced the door open after the case was reported, they found the dead woman with a cut on her head, suspected to be a machete cut, and her daughter’s body lying on the bed.

‎The State Command has launched a manhunt for Wealth Nnamdi as the prime suspect.
