Living History Textbook Not Approved By FG — Ministry
Post created on 9:55 am

The Ministry of Education has sent a public message to school owners, parents, and teachers to ignore and refrain from using the History textbook “Living History,” as the government has no connection with the text.
Misleading information surrounding the textbook claims it excluded Igbo content from the government-approved text, but on Monday, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry of Education, Boriowo Folasade, discredited the allegations that such a text was ever approved by the Ministry for Nigerian schools.
The ministry strongly authenticates that the book was never submitted to the National Educational Research and Development Council, the statutory body responsible for reviewing and approving textbooks in line with the national curriculum.
Therefore, all parties involved should discard the use of unapproved learning materials and urge stakeholders to make use of only approved teaching materials according to curriculum standards.
