Lekki port 80 per cent ready

Promoters of the Lekki Deep Seaport said that the port project will be delivered on schedule as construction works reaches 80 per cent, a development that will change the face of port operation in Nigeria.

The $1.57b deep port is spread over 90 hectares of land in the heart of Lagos free zone, it comprises three container, three liquid, and one dry bulk berths.

 

 

The port has 2.7 million TEUs projected yearly capacity will have 600 meters turning circle and 16.5 meters draught which is expected to be a game changer in Nigeria marine sector.

A French company with vast experience has been secured to run the container terminal when operation begins.
