Kwankwaso Expelled With Immediate By Party’s NEC

The presidential candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso has been expelled by the party’s National Executive Committee for refusing to appear before its Disciplinary Committee.

The National Executive Council, NEC, of the NNPP set up a Disciplinary Committee and directed it to invite Mr Kwankwaso to defend allegations of gross anti-party activities and mismanagement of party/campaign funds within five days.

According to the provisions of the party’s constitution, the NEC had warned that failure to appear before the Disciplinary Committee, Kwankwaso would be expelled.

Kwankwaso’s immediate expulsion from the party was made known by Abdulsalam Abdulrasaq, the Acting National Publicity Secretary of NNPP, in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.
