Kano Police Arrest Three With Fake US Dollars, CFA Francs, and Naira Worth Millions

Three individuals involved in the possession of counterfeit currencies valued at N129,542,826,000, stolen from another dealer, have been arrested by the Kano State Police Command.
It was made known on Tuesday by the Command that the counterfeit notes include US dollars ($3,366,000), CFA francs (CFA 51,970,000), and Nigerian naira (N1,443,000).
Two of the suspects who stole the counterfeit money and the one from whom it was stolen are helping the police trace the actual producer of the counterfeit notes.
Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna, of the Kano Command, said other items recovered included six live ammunition, three tricycles, eight motorcycles, three parcels containing 175 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 250 diazepam tablets, 278 sheep, and seven cattle.
According to the police spokesperson, major crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, thuggery, and drug dealing have been significantly curbed as a result of these efforts.
