Post created on 2:38 pm

Eight years after Elozino Ogege, a student of Delta State University, was murdered and mutilated, with her eyes plucked out, two persons, Desmond Macaulay Oghenemaro and Enaike Onoriode, have been sentenced to death by hanging.

The judgment was delivered by Hon. Justice F. N. Azinge of the Delta State High Court sitting in Ogwashi-Uku on Thursday, July 29. However, the second defendant in the matter, Nwonsisi Benedict Uche, was discharged and acquitted of the eight counts of charges leveled against him.

The herbalist who asked the suspects to bring human parts for a money ritual had died in custody while awaiting trial.
