The president of the International Criminal Court, Piotr Hofmanski, has been declared wanted by Russia for placing President Vladimir Putin, on its wanted list.

The reason for the allegations against Hofmanski was not stated by the ministry.

The notice from the Russian Interior Ministry database said “Hofmanski Piotr Jozef, Polish. Wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.”

In March the Hague-based court announced an arrest warrant for Putin on the war crime accusation of unlawfully deporting Ukrainian children.

Also, a warrant was issued against Maria Lvova-Belova, the presidential commissioner for children’s rights in Russia

However, the nation of Russia is not a member of the ICC and said the warrant against Putin does not stand after Russia had earlier issued arrest warrants for ICC prosecutor Karim Khan and several judges.

A field office was opened by the ICC In Ukraine to hold Russia accountable for their hit on Moscow.
